James Bingham is a senior research microbiologist who currently leads a team developing new antimicrobial hand hygiene and surface technologies and researching the transmission of pathogens in healthcare and foodservice settings. He has performed research in areas including Clostridium difficile spore biology, antimicrobial mechanisms of action, and patient hand hygiene. He holds a master’s degree in food microbiology from North Carolina State University and an undergraduate degree in food science from Cornell University.
