Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) launched its Clean Hands Count Campaign, which urges healthcare professionals, patients and patients’ loved ones to prevent healthcare-associated infections by keeping their hands clean.
This campaign stresses that hand hygiene is simple and effective. Yet, there are some questions that arise about good hand hygiene practices. And, last week on the CDC’s Safe Healthcare Blog, Clifford McDonald, MD, director for science, CDC Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, answered some of the most commonly asked questions.
At GOJO, we are happy to be a part of this conversation and encourage you to join as well. Remember, Clean Hands Do Count and help to reduce the spread of infection. Follow the conversation using #CleanHandsCount and learn more about the campaign at www.cdc.gov/handhygiene and our website.
