Tom Marting
Facilities, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Director, GOJO Industries
Tom Marting is the Facilities, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Director for GOJO Industries. He leads the environmental compliance, safety and industrial hygiene, and facilities maintenance activities for multiple GOJO locations, including driving sustainability into supply chain operations. He also has expertise in Life Cycle Assessment, applying biomimicry to new product design, chemical hazard assessments, and other eco-design tools. Tom was recognized in 2015 by the City of Akron, Summit County, and Greater Akron Area Chamber of Commerce as a Summit of Sustainability Changemaker Award winner. He was a co-recipient of the 2017 Maurice Holland Award for a peer-reviewed case study on the application of biomimicry for sustainable product development at GOJO. Tom was also honored in 2019 as a member of Environmental Leaders and Energy Management Today’s E + E 100 list. Tom represents GOJO as a member of the board of directors for Community Action Wayne and Medina Counties and in the Board of Advisors for the Wayne Economic Development Council. Tom holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Ohio University.
