Better Infection Control Starts with GOJO

In 2006, an estimated 53.4 million surgical and non-surgical procedures were performed during 34.7 million ambulatory surgery visits. Of those 34.7 million visits, 57% occurred in hospitals and 43% occurred in freestanding ASCs. The rate of visits to freestanding ASCs increased about 300% from 1996 to 2006, whereas the rate of visits to hospital-based surgery centers remained largely unchanged.1

Infection prevention challenges have never been greater as ASCs strive to move patients in & out quickly while keeping patient safety a top priority. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has focused special attention on infection prevention practices in ASCs.

Whether your Center specializes in ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery or gastrointestinal endoscopy, GOJO can help take the anxiety out of an unannounced CMS survey. We have assembled the nationally recognized guidelines you need to develop and maintain your infection prevention program. These resources provide the evidence-based best practices you need to reference in your policies and procedures.

You can depend on GOJO, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of hand sanitizing, handwashing, hand moisturizing products and patient care solutions. Together with infection prevention professionals, we’re reducing infection rates and improving patient outcomes. We offer innovative hand hygiene products, smart dispensing solutions and behavior-based compliance-building programs to help improve hand hygiene compliance.
