Hal King, Ph.D.
Dr. Hal King is a public health professional who has worked in the government (the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Public Health Service), academia (Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases), Military (U.S. Army Reserves Consequence Management Unit) and industry sectors to innovate public health intervention strategies for the prevention of infectious diseases.
He is currently the Director of Public Health and Safety at Chick-fil-A Inc. (a national restaurant chain with 1,900 units and over $5 billion in annual sales), Chairman of the National Restaurant Association Quality Assurance Executive Study Group and author of the book, Food Safety Management: Implementing a Food Safety Program in a Food Retail Business (Springer).
Dr. King is also founder/CEO of Public Health Innovations LLC, a new company created to design and develop new intervention strategies to prevent infectious diseases from food in healthcare, schools and in other environments.
