EcoLogo® is North America's largest, most respected environmental standard and certification mark. PURELL Green Certified Instant Hand Sanitiser and GOJO Green Certified Foam and Lotion Hand Cleaners met the standards of EcoLogo to become the world's first green certified hand soap and instant hand sanitiser portfolio. |
It was a challenging standard to reach. The EcoLogo Program compares products or services with others in the same category, develops rigorous and scientifically relevant criteria that reflect the entire lifecycle of the product, and awards the EcoLogo to those that are verified by an independent third party as complying with the criteria.

Green Seal developed the first green certification program in the United States in 1989. The non-profit organization develops lifecycle-based sustainability standards for products, services and companies, and offers third-party certification for those that meet the criteria in the standard.
GOJO Green Certified Foam and Lotion Hand Cleaners were the first hand soaps to have earned certification from Green Seal. |

The USDA Bio-Preferred Label Program recognises products that have been independently certified to meet USDA BioPreferred program standards for biobased content.

PURELL Green Certified Instant Hand Sanitiser was chosen by the USDA as a featured product of the then-new program, making GOJO one of only 11 companies approved to use the federal agency's new product label on certified biobased products. The honor was in recognition of PURELL Green Certified Instant Hand Sanitiser, made with 100% naturally renewable plant-derived ethanol in a readily biodegradable formula.

ABNT Ecolabel is a lifecycle-based ecolabel that is a voluntary method of environmental performance certification and labeling for products and services in Brazil. |

EU Ecolabel is a voluntary program, established in 1992 to encourage businesses to market products and services that are kinder to the environment.
The Ecolabel is the official environmental label in the United Kingdom and the European Union. GOJO® Mild Foam Hand Wash Fragrance Free was assessed against competitive soaps and is one of the few to be awarded an Ecolabel license and the honor of carrying the Flower icon. |

The Environmental Choice Australia ecolabel is a GECA environmental mark of recognition for a wide range of products and services. |
