The U.S. Green Building Council, which includes GOJO as a member, is one of the nation's top advocates for sustainability in the way buildings are constructed and operated. The council's LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™ serves as a scorecard for green practices.
The GOJO GREEN HYGIENE™ Solutions portfolio of green certified hand soaps and hand sanitisers helps facility managers meet a prerequisite of the U.S. Green Building Council that focuses on promoting and improving hand hygiene through handwashing and alcohol-based hand sanitisers. |

The Healthy Schools Campaign is a not-for-profit organisation that advocates for policies and practices that allow all students, teachers and staff to learn and work in a healthy school environment. GOJO is a Green Team Sponsor of The Healthy Schools Campaign.
The organisation's Green Clean Schools is a national partnership to promote green cleaning in schools. The initiative brings together the cleaning industry, educational leaders, parents and advocates to support schools in adopting environmentally friendly policies, practices and products. |
GOJO is also a member of the American Cleaning Institute. We have been active in the joint CDC/SDA Healthy Schools campaign for many years and were the only direct corporate sponsor for the first year. More recently, GOJO has taken a leadership position within the newly developed ACI Sustainability sub-team focused on driving positive sustainability outcomes for the cleaning industry. A sustainability profile for GOJO was published in the first ACI Sustainability Report, "For Better Living," released in April 2011.

The American Red Cross has received donations of PURELL Instant Hand Sanitiser from GOJO during such times of natural disaster as the Gulf Coast oil spill cleanup and the 2011 earthquake recovery effort in Japan.
In 2006, GOJO was honored to receive from the American Red Cross the Circle of Humanitarian Award in recognition of the donation of nearly $1 million in hand hygiene products. This award honors companies and individuals whose contributions provide lifesaving support through Red Cross programs. |

g2 revolution is a nationwide environmental consulting firm that works with GOJO to give a second life to up to 90 percent of the unused soap and sanitiser from our production plant. PURELL materials are being used to heat our partner's warehouses and for conversion to cooking oil, ethanol for vehicles and for other uses. |
GOJO unused soap formula will see a second life as industrial equipment wash, industrial floor wash, automotive car detail wash and other industrial applications. This GOJO collaboration is a prime example of sustainability planning in action.

Vexor Technology, Inc. has been a GOJO partner in effective sustainability planning since July 2010. Vexor accepts our waste material, which is combined with solidification agents to create a homogeneous, consistent blend for use in cement kilns. Through this collaboration, we have diverted over 146 tons of our solid waste from landfills in less than a year. |
