GOJO Clean Hands:
A 30-Day Plan to Improved Hand Hygiene

Take a Behavior-Based Approach to Driving Hand Hygiene Compliance

GOJO Clean Hands is a self-study, multi-modal, web-based program that puts responsibility for hand hygiene compliance in the hands of the individual healthcare worker – right where it belongs. The program helps drive compliance through its unique approach. Staff members compare their own practices with recommendations from the CDC, implement an improvement plan and self-monitor their progress.

What separates GOJO Clean Hands from typical awareness programs?
Developed under the direction of adult education experts, behavioral scientists and certified infection prevention specialists, GOJO Clean Hands is built for sustained results.

  • High involvement - employees actively engage in the program by confidentially assessing performance, setting up improvement goals and monitoring progress over a 30-day timeframe
  • Behavior-based - the multi-step intervention includes three brief online training sessions, on-the-job practice and email-based reinforcement of employees' specific achievement goals
  • Easy to implement - entirely web-based, the program can be administered from any computer with internet access
  • Easy registration - invite employees to participate by entering their email address - the program runs itself
  • Online performance tracking - See who has engaged in the training and where they are in the 30-day program; aggregate data allows you to track performance over time
  • Proven results - at participating hospitals, nurses who completed GOJO Clean Hands reported significant improvement in hand hygiene knowledge and self-assessed compliance with the CDC Guideline for Hand Hygiene in Healthcare Setting
  • Available free of charge - GOJO Clean Hands is available free of charge to healthcare facilities using GOJO hand hygiene products
