GOJO Sustainability Commitment

The GOJO Purpose, saving lives and making life better through well-being solutions, drives an ongoing commitment to sustainability.

Long before "sustainability" became a mainstream concept, GOJO founders Goldie and Jerry Lippman were working in sustainable ways. They made life better for factory workers by inventing a hand cleaner that was a safer alternative to the skin-damaging compounds that were commonly used. Soon to follow was the world's first portion controlled dispenser - made, in part, from recycled components.

Since 1946, sustainability principles have been inherent in GOJO values and are carried forth today through our focus on the three key domains of sustainability:

  • Social - Enhancing people's quality of life and reducing risks to health and well-being
  • Environmental - Increasing positive impacts and reducing negative impacts on our ecosystem
  • Economic - Building economic strength and prosperity for GOJO and our stakeholders
